Jessica Bol, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist specializing in emotion-focused psychotherapy for adults and couples. She has received extensive training in the treatment of depression, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders including PTSD. She also has expertise in working with adults who have experienced early relational trauma. Her approach is informed by her background in delivering evidenced based treatments such as Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Time Limited Dynamic therapy and Interpersonal therapy. Her approach is also heavily informed by emotion-focused and body-oriented therapies such as Somatic Experiencing and Emotion-Focused therapy. Guiding clients to reconnect with a state of self- love and compassion is at the heart of her work. In doing this, she uses a non-judgmental yet active approach in helping clients increase emotional awareness and shift problematic patterns. She also feels passionate about working with couples with whom she primarily uses Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy.
